passed away peacefully July 20th 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was wife of the late Richard J. Costa (Dickey). Nancy was the daughter of the late Edward McDermott and Evelyn (Frates) McDermott and resided in Pawtucket throughout her life. Nancy was a machine operator for over 20 years at International Packaging Company in Pawtucket. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family as that is what mattered most to her. She also enjoyed watching game shows on TV as Family Fued was her favorite. Nancy had the biggest heart and a strong will to survive. She fought for so many years with C.O.P.D and had beaten the odds against her many times. She was a true fighter and was exceptionally brave. Nancy leaves behind two daughters Roxanne Tremblay (Wayne Tremblay) with whom she resided with and Lori Costa. She also leaves behind four sisters June Corriveau (Mike) Judith Jesuino (Edward) Patricia McDermott and Frances Antone (Richard) one brother Leo McDermott. She was predeceased by two brothers Edward and Robert McDermott and two sisters Beverly Whalen and Evelyn (Daisy)dos Santos. She leaves behind six grandchildren Brittney, Ashley, Kyle, Marvens, Cierra, and Mariah. Many cousins nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Maggie and Doug. Nancy will truly be missed but will remain forever in our hearts.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St., Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Monday from 5pm unitl 8pm.
